What Is The Joel Jeremy Memorial Fund?
 
In 1991, two local families suffered the loss of a child: Jeremy Arce, 13 years old, and Joel Rabideau, 16 years old. These two families know firsthand about extraordinary medical expenses.  In 1992, a nonprofit organization called "The Joel Jeremy Memorial Fund" was founded by these two families to assist other Huron Valley, Michigan area families whose lives have been affected by serious illnesses.

Who Is Eligible For Assistance?

The Joel Jeremy Memorial Fund assists families in the Huron Valley, Michigan area with extraordinary financial needs for expenses. Each case will be reviewed by the Board and items such as travel and lodging, babysitting other children, housing, funeral expenses, donor testing and mechanical and equipment needs will be considered. We do not provide assistance for medical bills and prescriptions.

When And How Do You Apply?

Grant requests will be accepted any time there is a need. Requests must be in writing, no more than two pages please. We may contact you for further support material. All grant requests will be reviewed monthly by the Board of Directors. Each requester will be contacted by the Board after the board meeting.

 

Unfortunately, not all funding requests can be filled. Your request letter should include: your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address (if applicable), a brief description of your need, amount of funding that you are requesting, and how the funds will be used.
